THE SHEER AND UTTER IGNORANCE.
Like, I’m a choir kid who spent only one year in marching band, and I didn’t even march because I played the xylophone. But frick, I know how much everyone in marching band works their freakin butts off. Even without the marching aspect, playing an instrument in a group of people completely relies on rhythm and a frickton of skill and unity. Music IS rhythm. And you’re gonna tell me it somehow takes LESS rhythm and skill to do that AND to march, than to play your dumb sport? OH HECK NAW.
